Allison has performed around the world with “a voice that’s simultaneously rich, honeyed, dense, and altogether quite beautiful…heartfelt and sincere”. Her honest lyrics and haunting melodies have inspired audiences from Buenos Aires to Johannesburg and from Israel to Belfast.
From opera singer to folk singer/songwriter
The year that would change her future was 2011 when Allison picked up a guitar for the first time. One year later, she was writing her own music.
Allison left her job at Harvard, moved out of her apartment, and with a small suitcase and travel guitar she began her journey across Europe. She performed in France, Austria, Italy, and Croatia, earning fans from around the world who knew her as “Allison from Boston.” She returned to Boston to record her first original album, Coming Home. Her CD release was at the very same Club Passim (formerly Club 47) where Joan Baez got her start in 1958.
After launching her first album, Allison moved to Washington, DC to continue building Global Public Speaking, LLC. Allison performs throughout the country and around the world.
